How far you can go in Cabo is really two questions: how many hours you book, and which boat you are on. Both decide whether a charter stays around the Arch or ranges up the coast, and they shape what is realistic for a place like Cabo Pulmo. Here is the honest version of charter range.

Close Range: Two to Three Hours

A short charter keeps things close to home, which is plenty for a lot of trips. The Arch, Pelican Rock, the nearby coves, and a swim or snorkel in the calm water inside the bay all fit comfortably in a couple of hours. It is the right length for a sunset or a quick outing.

Mid Range: Six Hours

More hours mean more range. With six hours the boat can work further inside the bay, run up the coast, or head toward the East Cape, and there is time to fish or snorkel along the way. As the founder notes, a destination that is a little farther calls for six hours, which is also why the menu and setup grow with the longer booking. The pricing breakdown shows what changes as you add the time.

Cabo Pulmo: The Honest Answer

Cabo Pulmo is the question that comes up most, and it deserves a straight answer. It is a protected marine park up the East Cape where boats cannot anchor, and snorkeling or diving there runs through local operators who hold special permits for the park. Elevate can arrange the trip, coordinating with the permitted operators so guests experience it properly, but it is a planned excursion rather than a spot you swing by. The snorkeling guide covers how that works in more detail.

How the Boat Changes Range

The boat matters as much as the clock. The Aplush, a speedboat, covers distance fast, which is an advantage when the goal is to reach a farther point quickly. The larger motor yachts trade some speed for comfort and a galley, better for a long, relaxed day than a fast dash. Matching the boat to the distance is half the planning.

When you know how far you want to go, see the fleet and book a charter, and tell the team if Cabo Pulmo is on the list.
